Calissons de Provence en Bouchée. Calisson de Provence is a confectionery made from candied melon and almonds crushed together, enhanced with a candied orange zest. It is one of the oldest Provençal sweets.
Ingredients: Candied melons, (melon, glucose-fructuose syrup, acidity regulator: citric acid, preservative: sulphurous anhydrous), 33% almonds, crystal sugar, invert sugar syrup, candied oranges, glucose syrup, unleavened bread ( potato starch, water, olive vegetable oil) Icing: icing sugar, egg white. Possible presence of other nuts . Nutritional Values for 100 grams: Energy 7665 KJ / 1832 KCAL; Fat 18 gr, including Saturated Fat 1.74gr; Carbohydrates 59gr, of which Sugars 49gr; Protein 6.77gr; Salt 0,05gr.
