In 1923, Jean Troubat took over the Anis de Flavigny factory, thus succeeding the Galimard family. He had the idea of selling Les Anis in the first vending machines at stations and subways. He also sells them in the first "department stores" in Paris, in fairgrounds and cinemas. In 1928, he manufactured 80 tonnes of Anise, and already distributed them in the United States, Canada, Algeria and almost everywhere in Europe.
